My journey into the field of human potential began back in the 1980’s when my mother, a beautiful and intelligent woman with a successful modelling and promotions career, slowly deteriorated over the course of a decade from a difficult menopause into the lugubrious depths of mental illness.
In those days, any illness affecting the unseen part of the human personality was shrouded in a stigma founded in ignorance. Whilst my mother eventually recovered, with help from the appropriate experts, the traumatic decade that spanned from my early teenage years to my mid-twenties left both a positive and negative legacy. The natural law of polarity decrees that however bad a situation may appear there must be an equally positive aspect to it, and this experience was no exception. Although it took a number of years for me to consciously accept the positive side to what had happened within my mother, the experience gave birth to my interest in the workings of the mind, and I discovered my purpose in life.
The vast majority of people are raised and educated in a manner that is ignorant to the principles of success. We are conditioned to think that success is based entirely upon IQ (intellectual quotient) the natural consequence of a first class education, or being born into great wealth. In the field of leadership, recent research has concluded that intellectual capability, or IQ, is responsible for only 24% of success.
Why is there such a huge difference in the results that people achieve?

In a recent survey, ninety-nine out of every one hundred people believe they are capable of much more, yet it isn’t reflected in their results. Despite the very best of intentions and conscious effort, this unfortunate position rarely seems to change.
Have you ever wondered why in organizations with large sales forces there are certain individuals that sell and earn more commissions than entire offices or regions put together?
Why does that happen? Why is there such an imbalance in the productivity of people?
The obvious answer is generally the wrong answer.
It has taken nearly 50 years of research to understand this very simple, yet very misunderstood concept.
